Flanked by the historic buildings of a 19th-century British naval and military base, the theatre is located at the end of a beautiful boardwalk that looks on to the homeport of replica ships H.M.S. Bee and H.M.S. Tecumseth. A visit to the King's Wharf Theatre takes only 45 minutes from Barrie and Orillia, or just over an hour from Collingwood. While in the area, explore the communities of Penetanguishene and Midland, which offer unique shops and dining establishments. You'll also want to discover such treasures as Ontario's first European Community at Sainte-Marie among the Hurons.

Trent Severn Waterway National Historic Site Upcoming Dam and Bridge Work. July 31, 2017 – In early 2018, Parks Canada will begin bridge and dam repair work at Port Severn Lock 45 located on the Trent-Severn Waterway National Historic Site. Work will begin with the rehabilitation of Dam C, as well as the demolition and reconstruction of the Bayview Dam E Bridge. For these assets, the work is scheduled to begin in early January 2018 and be completed in summer 2018. For Bayview Dam E Bridge, contractors will demolish the old components of the bridge, remove the current structure, pour the concrete abutments and install a precast concrete deck. The total road closure for this portion of the work is expected to last approximately 10 weeks – from mid-March 2018 to the end of May 2018. The full project currently includes the rehabilitation of the Main Dam, Bayview Dam E, Little Chute Dam G, and Blind Dams A, C, and D, as well as the replacement of the Port Severn Fixed Bridge and Bayview Dam E Bridge.
